Howard Wu and his wife Bridget founded Aspen Leaf Preschool in San Diego in 2012. Primarily thanks to Bridget’s hard work, vision, passion, and expertise, Aspen Leaf has grown to four locations and has established itself as the best preschool in San Diego.

For years, scheduling tours for prospective families has been a seemingly unavoidable pain point. Bridget, Howard, and their directors spent hours every month responding to inquiries and writing emails back-and-forth to schedule every tour.

Howard eventually tried several event software plugins to create an online scheduling option on their website. This worked well for the directors, but it took Howard hours each month to maintain (adding new tour days and setting the “ticket price” for each one to $0.00).

Tour no-shows were also a constant problem, with families simply forgetting about their tour and emailing afterwards to schedule another one (or simply being lost as a potential enrollment).

Thus, TourTheSchool was born. Initially created as a tool just for Aspen Leaf’s website, the booking page came to the attention of other preschool owners working with Howard on his advocacy and childcare licensing work, who asked Howard where they could get the same tour booking page.
